Could You Survive?

In an era where the average first world person doesn't go one minute without using some form of technology or more importantly electricity. Could you survive if everything we are accustomed to just shut off? In NBC's   'almost appocalyptic' world, lights and technology aren't the only things that are turned off; the laws of physics completely went out the window! Batteries and even engines ceased to work. The show somewhat resembles the sci-fi characterization of Flash Forward (a show that I watched religiously, and wouldn't you know it, season 2 never happened). The show surrounds a family that has ties to the cause of the blackout, however the protagonist, Charlie, has no idea that her late father is the connecting link. If you can look past the brain's automatic questioning of how could the laws of physics just defy themselves then I think you will be able to watch this new hit. My brain, unfortunately, is still struggling with those concepts, however I am going to continue to watch the new series to see how the show pans out.
